Should have listened to the reviewsAugust 31, 2010 S. Karmenzind I should have listned to the reviews of this product. Item worked okay when I recieved it. Other than having no control of the flow of paint and constant problems with priming the pump, it worked fine. I purchased this sprayer so I could paint my kitchen cabinets and get a factory smooth finish. Well since you can't adjust the flow what I got was runs and I used 3 gallons of paint to paint about 25ln/ft of cabinets. I purchased and used the cleaner and followed the manufacture's storage directions, and the next time I used the painter the pump would not prime. Luckily I bought the warranty and they were able to refund my purchase amount (minus $20 of shipping).
Head the warnings of the masses, and avoid this painter.

I bought this as reconditioned but it looked new to me. After looking very close I could find a blimish here and there.
The instructions were well writen and easy to understand. After setting up, using and clean up about two times you can go with out the instruction sheet.
Clean up is the secret on these sprayers. Good cleanup= Good operation.
It worked great even with a heavy Latex.
Best Sprayer for the MoneyAugust 16, 2010 Scott DeFreece This spayer worked excellent right out of the box. Stained approx. 2000' of fence on one afternoon. No problems with clogs, runs, or drips. Clean up takes time, but like with any tool if you take care of it, it will take care of you. Highly recommended this sprayer it truly is the best bang for the buck.

worked out fineAugust 8, 2010 big moose(grand rapids, michigan) I got to use the painting unit this weekend and I am most pleased. It is definitely a reconditioned unit because there was paint on the unit but there was also new parts. No matter, I was going to get it dirty anyways and if it works well I save a $100 bucks. I read the manual ( yes some of use do that before using machinery) and it actually turns out to be easier to use than the manual makes it out to be. I was worried that there would be a lot of over-spray but it was not bad at all. By using a piece of cardboard I was able to keep the over-spray to a minimum.
It took about an hour to clean the sprayer up for the first time but I think I can get it done in half that time now that I know what to do. Don't forget to clean the tip of the gun because new tips are $20 each.
One reviewer suggested to get a swivel connector that goes between the gun and the hose. He was right. After an hour my hand was tired from fighting with that hard hose. I purchased a swivel at home depot last night but was shocked that they are $25 each. If you plan on several hours of painting I would suggest that you bite the bullet and purchase one.
Other than that, I really like the unit. It never clogged in three hours of painting and it is pretty quiet. The unit only runs when it needs pressure ( ie pulling the trigger) which is an added bonus. I thought it would run all the time like some other sprayers that I had. All in all I am very happy with it and the price is half of a new unit.
I would give it 5 stars but the lack of a built in swivel to the hose and paint being on the reconditioned unit knocked it back one star.
