Product Description This water globe is fun and easy to assemble. Just create a design of your own out of any water resistant material (polymer clay is a perfect material for this purpose), then glue it to the rubber gasket provided. Fill the globe with pure water, add the floating bits and one drop of low-sudsing detergent to break the surface tension of the water so the bits will float properly. Work the rubber gasket into the neck of the globe and seal around the edge with silicone glue. Apply the base and you are finished. This globe makes a terrific personalized gift or a special way of making a statement. The globe measures 6 inches in diameter and the neck opening is 3-13/16 inches. When fully assembled to its base it stands 7-1/4 inches tall. For hundreds more craft, art and hobby products be sure to visit our National Artcraft Storefront. Customer Reviews: Surprisingly challenging to keep water tightJanuary 4, 2010 R. Smith 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I followed all of the instructions to the letter, but still had leakage issues, even after re-sealing with the appropriate sealant. I just reglued it for the third time- hopefully third time will be the charm.
Very torn, because I love the idea, but the execution of the product leaves something to be desired.
Additionally, the instructions don't address the fact that to get the gasket seated the gasket will have to be deformed repeatedly- a second issue I faced was getting the object on my snow globe to stay in place through getting the gasket seated. Eventually I simply glued only in the bare center of the object. It is staying in place, hopefully it will continue to do so but I still cringe every time I shake it, expecting this to be the time that it comes loose.
Create your own snow globe!December 5, 2009 klixmart 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
What a fun project! I had a fovorite snow globe music box that sprung a leak, and I was so happy to find this item so I could re-construct the one I had enjoyed! Not difficult, was fun to do, and I got an extra so I can make up my very own for myself or a loved one!

Used this as a "Crystal Ball" in which I placed the engagement ring when I proposed to my now fiancee. Worked great.
I've Made FOUR Snowglobes...so far!!!October 29, 2009 W. Sowell(Birmingham, AL United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've made four snowglobes and have ordered two more. The end product is really a unique gift. I have three pets...two Pugs and one Maine Coon cat. I found an online shop that sells animal miniatures and used all three in last year's Christmas themed globe. Everyone who sees it...which stays on display year round...can't resist picking it up and shaking it. They're always amazed when I tell them I made it myself! So...go ahead! Try one! Think outside of the box and get into a globe! You'll be amazed at what you can create!
